If your commercial building has a fire alarm system in it, the yes. Kansas State Fire Marshall requires all fire alarm systems to be inspected at least annually. Businesses such as daycare’s, hospitals and nursing homes are required to have smoke detector sensitivity testing as well.

Smoke Detector Sensitivity Testing
Kansas State Fire Marshall requires smoke detector sensitivity testing to be done every other year. R&L Fire and Security is equipped to sensitivity test any and all smoke detectors. The state Fire Marshall’s office requires any commercial property where people would normal sleep to have a sensitivity test.
